Have not used my "random act of kindness" cards in a while but today went to Michaels to find some things for the walk, ended up with a carriage full of items. A woman comes up to me and says "wow you have a lot of things you need this 50% off coupon more than me" I was so touched I gave her a Michaella card and told her everything in my cart was for a fundraiser and because of her generosity more could be put towards the causes. I told her it was a fundraiser for my daughter who passed away and she got tears in her eyes and said " i am honored to have helped out" This is what makes me get up every day, that totally great feeling of doing something for someone else out of the goodness of your heart and not really knowing what that gesture will mean. Have you used all your cards from last year? If so we will have more at the event. Can;t wait to have you all join us in 12 days
I work at an elementary school and last year at Christmas I put a "random act of kindness card" with a pink Hershey kiss attached in each of the teachers mailbox. The cards have since made it to several of the schools in the district and within the town.
Love this Tina
Today there was a couple that came to my job to get lunch after I served them the gentleman said "Im giving you this because of your happy and nice demeanor, it was a scratch ticket with a card, I said thank you and god bless you, I almost scratched it till I read the card, and it really touched me, so I passed on the ticket and card to a regular, an elderly woman who comes in every afternoon. And just wants a bit of company and to talk to someone she scratched the ticket and won 60 dollars she came back with the 60 and said I can't take this, I told her to use some of it to pass it on, she bought coffee for the next 10 people that came in, caring is contagious, try it and you'll be amazed, my boss lady teared up, and I thank that couple for one of the most touching days I've had in a very long time!God bless you all
Wow this is just so wonderful, caring and doing for others makes you feel so good
My wife and I were at Chili's for dinner last night. Patricia noticed a single mom having dinner with her 3 kids. It was one of the girls' 10th birthday. She suggested we use a card and pay for their dinner. So we did. I went over to the mom to explain to her the purpose of the card. She was so blessed that we picked up the tab for her family that she had tears in her eyes. It was awesome!!
